Hi, I’m Eliza. I am a licensed clinical social worker in New Jersey. I am a warm and compassionate therapist with over fifteen years of experience. I graduated with a master’s degree in social work in 2010 and have worked as a clinician in various settings since that time. Creating my own practice, a life goal of mine, allows me the freedom and flexibility to do the work that I love to do. I work with all adults and specialize in working with women, the perinatal population, the GLBTQ+ population, and those in periods of life or identity transition.
As women, I believe that we receive messages starting in girlhood about the ways that we are expected to live our lives. What if we made the decision to choose ourselves and follow our inner voices over the noise of familial, societal and cultural conditioning? I believe that living as our fully embodied and authentic selves rewards us with greater levels of happiness and reduces anxiety and depression. This life is possible for you! I look forward to working with you on your journey.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic and individualized, tailored to fit the needs of each person who works with me. My work is grounded in the psychodynamic model, but is also informed by Bowen Family Systems Theory, Internal Family Systems Theory (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and feminist theory. I welcome all individuals, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, or cultural background.
